About the Journal
History
As part of its mission to disseminate and foster the scientific and technological development of Behavior Analysis and related areas, ABPMC started editing and publishing the Brazilian Journal of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy (RBTCC) in 1999. In this year, the late Rachel Rodrigues Kerbauy, then also ABPMC’s president, took over as the first editor of the RBTCC (from 1999 to 2001). The following RBTCC editors were:
- Sérgio Dias Cirino (2006-2008)
- Vera Lucia Raposo do Amaral (2009-2010)
- Francisco Lotufo Neto (2011-2016)
- Paulo Roberto Abreu (2017- 2020)
- Hernando Borges Neves Filho (2020 - 2021)
- Fabiane Ferraz Silveira Fogaça (2022 - 2024)
- Fabio Henrique Baia (2024 - atual)
Initially published semi-annually in print format, starting in 2009 RBTCC was also published in online digital format, and then only in online digital format. In 2011, it became published every four months and, since 2017, every three months. Today, accepted articles are published immediately (online first), all RBTCC numbers already published are freely available through its website and all its articles have individual digital object identifiers (DOI).
